As Master of Ceremonies (MC), I am responsible for the smooth running of the wedding reception and ensure that everything goes according to plan. I act as the host or hostess of the event, introduce speakers, make announcements and direct guests to various activities during the reception.

The duties of a wedding MC typically include:

  1. Welcoming and greeting guests as they arrive at the reception.

  2. Introducing the bride and groom and the wedding party as they make their entrance.

  3. Announcing the first dance, toasts, and any other special events that will take place during the reception.

  4. Coordinating with the DJ or band to ensure that the music and other activities run on schedule.

  5. Keeping guests informed of what's happening throughout the evening, such as when it's time to eat, dance, or participate in other activities.

  6. Ensuring that any speeches or toasts are kept to a reasonable length and that they stay appropriate for the occasion.

  7. Dealing with any unexpected issues that may arise during the reception, such as a late arrival or a technical problem with the music.

  8. Since I am also a singer and a wedding speaker, these things can of course be combined.
